
Basketball on court
The West Florida High girls basketball team defeated Washington for the first time in program history on Saturday, edging the visiting Wildcats 47-41 for one of the Jaguars biggest wins of the season.
Deja Jones scored 14 in the win while teammate Khadija Chambless added 12 – including two crucial three pointers in the fourth – to seal the win.
The Wildcats won’t have to wait long for a shot at payback as Washington hosts West Florida High on Thursday.
