Rancho Mirage High School quarterback Marques Prior photographed as on of the Elite-11 at the Desert Sun studio on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in Palm Springs.
As a sophomore last season, Prior led the Rattlers to an 8-2 regular season record in their second varsity year as a dual-threat quarterback who was named first team All-De Anza League. The junior threw for 1,310 yards and 14 touchdowns a year ago while running for 706 yards and 11 scores on the ground. Although his completion percentage wasn’t always the best, expect Prior to be the most polished quarterback in the valley this season in his third year under center while also impacting the game at wide receiver, cornerback, safety and as a kick returner.
