Seton Catholic senior Desmond Bane will publicly announce his college decision on Thursday afternoon at his school.
Bane, a 6-5 guard, has narrowed his choices to TCU or Miami of Ohio. TCU, under new coach Jamie Dixon, has made a push for Bane in recent weeks and brought him in for an official visit last weekend. Miami has recruited him since last season.
Bane averaged 30.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 3.2 blocked shots as a senior and was named to the IndyStar Indiana All-Star team. He will make his announcement at 5 p.m. at his school and make it official by signing his letter of intent.

• IUPUI picked up a commitment this week from Brandon Hau, a 6-7 forward from Mukwonago, Wis. Hau averaged 16.3 points and 7.5 rebounds as a junior. IUPUI also has a commitment from Terre Haute South guard Jaylen Minnett in the 2017 class.
• Tindley guard Eric Hunter, one of the top in-state guards in the 2018 class, will take an official visit to Xavier on Saturday. IUPUI and Kent State have offered the 6-2 Hunter, who averaged 24.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists as a junior.
• Former Pike guard Taishaun Johnson will take an official visit to Kent State starting on Sunday. Johnson averaged 12.5 points as a freshman at South Alabama in 2014-15 and set several freshman records, but left the program early in his sophomore season.
