A few notes to pass along today:
*Zionsville senior Rachel McLimore committed to the DePaul women’s basketball program this week. The 5-10 McLimore, an IndyStar Indiana Junior All-Star last year at Covenant Christian, was previously committed to IUPUI.
McLimore averaged 21.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 3.1 assists as a junior at Covenant Christian, which advanced to the Class 2A state finals. She transferred to Zionsville over the summer.
*Manual senior Courvoisier McCauley, a 6-4 forward, will attend prep school next year at Commonwealth Academy in Springfield, Mass. McCauley, who averaged 27.2 points and 6.3 rebounds as a junior at Manual, has a Division I offer from Iona as a 2018 prospect. He’s also receiving heavy interest from Buffalo and DePaul.
*Roncalli senior Paige Saylor, a 5-6 point guard, committed to Division I Lafayette College. Saylor was key to Roncalli’s run to the Class 4A semistate last year, averaging 8.7 points, 4.3 assists and 2.7 steals. She shot 40 percent (43-for-106) from the 3-point line.
*Noblesville has set its boys basketball tournament for Dec. 27-28. Columbus North, Fishers, Bloomington South, Pike, Chesterton, Columbus East and Crown Point will join Noblesville in the eight-team tournament. All teams are guaranteed three games.
The matchups for Dec. 27: Columbus North vs. Fishers, 10 a.m.; Pike vs. Bloomington South, noon; Chesterton vs. Noblesville, 2 p.m.; Columbus East vs. Crown Point, 4 p.m. The tournament will continue through the following day, with the championship set for 8 p.m. Dec. 28.
