The Pine View Panthers extended their record to 4-0 with a blowout victory against the Cyprus Pirates on the road in Magna, 49-12.
Three different Panthers scored rushing touchdown against the Pirates. Jacob Mpungi, Kyson Certonio and quarterback Ryan Javines all punched in TDs on the ground. Javines also added two touchdowns through the air to Lance Mandrigues and Michael Moten.
Pine View blew it open early with a 35-12 halftime lead. And then it added two touchdowns in the second half to coast to victory.
Pine View opens 3AA South region play at home next week against the Dixie Flyers.
Desert Hills 50, Grantsville 0
The Desert Hills Thunder routed Grantsville on the road to move to 3-1 on the season.
Quinn Kiser, Logan Hokanson, Brock Parry, Marco Jordan and Kobe Sattiewhite all scored touchdowns for the Thunder. The defense forced a turnover on Grantsville’s first offensive possession, and it was a blowout from there.
The Thunder open the 3AA South region season on the road at Cedar next week.
Hurricane 25, Carbon 0
The Hurricane Tigers picked up a shutout victory over the Carbon Dinos in Price.
Adam Heyrend tossed two touchdown passes to Mike Lacy and Trevor Stackhouse to lead the Tigers. Treyson Abbot added a rushing touchdown.
The Tigers scored one touchdown each quarter.
Hurricane hosts Snow Canyon next week to begin play in 3AA South region.
Snow Canyon 48, Ogden 20
Matt Kitchen threw for 198 yards and four touchdowns to lead Snow Canyon in a road victory over Ogden.
Chris Poulsen added 120 yards rushing and one touchdown on the ground, and Britton Webster added a second rushing touchdown on 61 yards rushing.
The Warriors broke it open from the get-go with a 24-0 advantage in the first quarter and eventually took a 41-7 advantage into halftime.
Ogden turned the ball over four times to Snow Canyon — three interceptions and one fumble. The Warriors put up 496 yards of total offense.
Snow Canyon begins 3AA South region play on the road next week at Hurricane.
Diamond Ranch 43, Layton Christian 0
Diamond Ranch played at home Friday night against Layton Christian and came away with a blowout victory, 43-0.
Aaron Kern scored three rushing touchdowns, and Jack Dowdell added another to lead the Diamondbacks.
Diamond Ranch plays at home against Rich next week.
Kanab 13, Duchesne 0
The Kanab Cowboys ground out a low-scoring shutout win against Duchesne at home, 13-0.
Kanab is now 3-1 on the season.
Milford 41, Altamont 0
Milford came away with a 41-0 shutout win over Altamont.
Milford is now 3-1 this year.
