Region 9 tennis will have six representatives in the final day of the 3A State Tournament in Salt Lake City on Friday.
Desert Hills paced the region, with all four of its No. 1 seeded teams advancing to the second day of competition.

Soccer: Desert Hills takes top spot in Region 9
The Desert Hills soccer team overcame an 0-2 start in Region 9, and finished an impressive late run in the season with a 4-2 over Pine View on Thursday.
Makayla Lewis, Kodee Bracken, Brecken Dalley and Kylee Westhoff all scored for Desert Hills, which held a 2-0 lead at one point before the Panthers tied the game at 2-2.
The Thunder scored twice late in the second half to break the tie and secure a 7-3 record and the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, which begin Wednesday.
Desert Hills and Snow Canyon tied for first place with a 7-3 record in region play, but the Thunder grabbed the No. 1 seed by virtue of a head-to-head tiebreaker advantage. SCHS and DHHS both won against each other, so the next determining factor was how they did against the third-place team, which was Cedar.
The Thunder swept Cedar this year, while Snow Canyon dropped both games against the Lady Reds.
Soccer: Snow Canyon 2, Dixie 1
Heidi Smith scored her 13th goal and Christian Van Gils added another as Snow Canyon clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming playoffs. The Warriors (7-3) led 2-0 at halftime against Dixie (3-6-1), who had to win in order to move on to the playoffs.
Starlee Woodbury scored her 13th goal midway through the second half and the Flyers pushed everyone forward in hopes of taking a lead, but SCHS held on. The Warriors will face either Morgan or Juan Diego on Wednesday.
Soccer: Cedar 2, Hurricane 1
The Tigers struck first through Jayden Langford in the first half, but Cedar quickly responded on Julia Hunt’s goal. Holly Carpenter’s penalty kick with under three minutes left in the game left broke the deadlock.
The Lady Reds sealed a 6-4 region record and a No. 3 seed in the playoffs. Hurricane finished with a 4-5-1 record in region play, but made the playoffs as a No. 4 seed by way of Dixie losing to Snow Canyon.
Soccer: Canyon View vs. Juab
Thursday’s soccer match between Canyon View and Juab was postponed until Friday at 4 p.m. The Falcons are looking to end Region 12 play with a perfect 8-0 record.
Volleyball: Dixie 3, Cedar 1

Volleyball: Richfield 3, Canyon View 2
Canyon View (2-4, Region 12) dropped a heartbreaking game against the Richfield Wildcats Thursday night. The Falcons took two of the first three sets, but couldn’t put it away in a 24-26, 26-24, 27-25,19-25, 11-15 loss.
