Volleyball: Snow Canyon 3, Hurricane 0
The Warriors rebounded from a five-set loss to Pine View by sweeping the Tigers (25-18, 25-22, 25-20). Sammi Johnston led SC with 15 kills and also chipped in seven digs and two aces. Ina Fakahua had seven kills and Ally Dunston had six. Dunston led the Warriors with 10 digs. Kansas Lytle led Hurricane with 10 kills and also hit two aces.

Both teams showed support for Mackayla Marshall, the 13-year-old daughter of Content Marshall. Mackayla was diagnosed with a form of bone cancer before the season started.

Volleyball: Desert Hills 3, Cedar 0
Desert Hills made quick work of the visiting Cedar Redmen as the Thunder stayed perfect in Region 9 play with a 25-7, 25-14, 25-8 victory in the Thunderdome. Charity Bradley had a team-high 10 kills and Rachel Winters added seven. Hailee Harmer had 19 assists and three digs. The Thunder also had a game-high 21 serving aces as Winters had nine Madison Clark had four.
Up next for Desert Hills is a showdown against Pine View next Tuesday. Cedar will host Hurricane Tuesday as both teams search for their first region victory of the season.
Volleyball: Pine View 3, Dixie 1
After sweeping Cedar Tuesday at home, the Dixie Flyers couldn’t get past Pine View Thursday night on the road. The Panthers are 3-0 in Region 9 after a four-set win (25-19, 25-21, 13-25, 25-21).
Cydnee Mcguire had a team-high 14 kills and Aubrey Hendrickson had eight. Cassidy Murdock had 31 assists in the win for the Panthers.
Volleyball: Enterprise 3, Beaver 0
The Enterprise Wolves won their sixth consecutive game and stayed perfect in Region 13 with a 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-21, 25-9.) over Beaver on the road. Jaslyn Gardner had 11 kills and one block and Tori Phelps had 27 assists, seven digs, and two aces. Halle Drake added six kills and two blocks and Sherri Platt had six kills and six blocks in the win for the Wolves.
Soccer: Canyon View 3, North Sanpete 0
Canyon View remained unbeaten in Region 12 with a shutout win over the Hawks. Morgan Haag scored twice and Tylee Bulloch scored once as the Falcons extended their winning streak to five. CV has outscored its region opponents 25-0 in its 5-0 start to region play.
Soccer: Cedar 2, Dixie 1
For the second time this week, the Dixie Flyers lost a heartbreaking 2-1 game. With the scored tied 1-1 at the half, Cedar’s Julia Hunt scored the go-ahead goal before play was stopped early due to weather. Play never resumed and the game will stand.
Lindsey Robinson scored the Lady Reds’ goal in the first half, while Ashlyn Smith scored a penalty kick for Dixie. Up next for Cedar is a road game against Desert Hills next Tuesday. The Flyers also play Tuesday and will host Pine View as they look to stop a two-game losing streak.
Soccer: Snow Canyon 2, Pine View 0
Snow Canyon won its third consecutive game with a 2-0 shutout win over Pine View on the road. The Panthers were coming off their first Region 9 victory of the season after topping Desert Hills, but couldn’t find the back of the net Thursday. Heidi Smith and Ashley Brindley each had a goal in the win for the Warriors.
Soccer: Desert Hills 3, Hurricane 0
Desert Hills bounced back from a loss on Tuesday for a dominant 3-0 victory over Hurricane at home. Kodee Bracken scored two goals and Tanayia Crosby added another in the win for the Thunder. Keeper Brittany Moore got the shutout.
