Class AA outbracket round

Carmel 90, John Jay-East Fishkill 57: At No. 12 Carmel, Matt Haughney had 21 points and Brian Harlin and Ryan Train added 15 apiece. The Rams had five players in double figures, including Brendan Cody (12) and Quinn Willman (10).

Clarkstown North 52, Suffern 50: At No. 14 Clarkstown North, the Rams beat Suffern for the third time this season. Jordan Housman had 21 points and Oliver Levy added 11. Housman hit a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left to give North the led. Suffern missed a pair of shots in the final seconds that would’ve tied it. Kevin Jefferson led Suffern with 19 points. Eric O’Neal added 14 and freshman Will Krebs had 11.

Ramapo 72, Greeley 65: At No. 16 Greeley, Divine Cesar scored a career-high 41 points, including a pair of 3-pointers down the stretch for No. 17 Ramapo. Cesar now has 1,062 career points, surpassing John Thomason (1,048). Cesar, who scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, now sits 31st on Rockland County’s all-time scoring list.

Arlington 59, Mahopac 45: At No. 13 Mahopac, Arlington avenged a 21-point loss to Mahopac in a game played just three days earlier. Shane Walczyk had 19 points to lead Arlington. Mahopac played without senior Christian Donahoe, who was out with an ankle injury.

Yorktown 53, Mamaroneck 45: At No. 15 Yorktown, Tanner Dyslin had 22 points and six rebounds. For more on the game, read Josh Thomson’s story.

Class A outbracket round

Pearl River 80, Yonkers 65 (OT): At No. 12 Yonkers, Pearl River overcame a 54-44 deficit with 1:40 remaining. Brendan Conway hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie the score 62-62 and send the game into overtime. The 21st-seeded Pirates scored the first 12 points of the overtime to pull away.

Panas 59, Gorton 52: At Cross Hill Academy in Yonkers, Shakiem White had 23 points and 11 rebounds for No. 18 Panas. Brandon Hodge and Stephan Reyes added 13 points apiece. Ayo Shokeye led No. 15 Gorton with 16 points.

Brewster 54, Lakeland 49: At No. 14 Brewster, Sam Adam had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Bears. Jon Palmieri and Kevin Blank each added 11 points for Brewster.

Sleepy Hollow 57, Roosevelt 48: At No. 11 Sleepy Hollow, Andrew Laub had 18 points and eight rebounds. Gabe McGuire added eight points and 10 boards. Wendell Brand also had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Horsemen.

Pelham 59, Somers 52: At No. 10 Pelham, Vershone Bowser had 14 points off the bench. Davis Allen and Ryan O’Neil each added 13 points for Pelham. Marc Maestri had 15 points to lead No. 23 Somers.

John Jay 48, Nyack 46: At No. 16 Nyack, Jake Murphy had 12 points for the 17th-seeded Indians. Ryan Wanek had 11 and Arron Cruz added 10. Wanek put John Jay ahead with a 3-pointer with 2:16 remaining and neither team scored again.

Albertus Magnus 79, Riverside 49: At No. 13 Albertus Magnus, Justin Bullock and Collin Crispino each scored 21 points for the Falcons. For more on the game and Albertus’ reaction to the death of longtime coach and administrator, read Adrian Szkolar’s story.
