The Milton Panthers topped Tate 2-0, handing the Aggies their second loss of the season.

Megan Robertson earned the win, which included nine strikeouts.

In the bottom of the fourth, Milton’s Caroline Worrell drew a walk and then reached second base after a passed ball.

Next, Alyssa Hudson connected for a double to score Worrell for the game-winning run.

Milton hosts Navarre Monday and can lock up a No.2 spot in the district with a win.

Catholic hosted 5A state runner up (Tennessee) Bartlett for what yielded an intense pitchers duel.

Catholic’s Evan Floyd delivered a no-hitter through six innings, and was nearly matched by Bartlett’s Jay Smith — who allowed two hits in seven innings of work.

Both teams had chances to score in the seventh inning, but it was ultimately Catholic that produced a 1-0 win in extra (eight) innings.

With one out, Matthew Estrada drew a walk and was advanced to third after Donovan Benoit made contact and forced a wild throw.

Devin Whitehead then delivered the game-winning single with a hard hit between first and second base.

Aggies continue hot streak at Orlando tourney

Branden Fryman ripped a one-out double and Jake Davis drove him in with an RBI single as the Tate Aggies eeked out a 1-0 win over Ocoee Tuesday.

Davis was spectacular on the mound, as well, holding Ocoee to only seven hits in 5.1 innings and Michael Sherrill closed it out by allowing only one hit the rest of the way for the Aggies.

Fryman went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Davis was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Dolphins lose tough one at Choctaw

The Gulf Breeze Dolphins jumped out to an early 4-2 lead over Choctaw, but saw it all evaporate in the bottom of the fifth inning when the Indians plated five runs for a 9-4 victory.

Stephen Huggins suffered the loss after giving up nine runs on 10 hits while fanning four.

Brandon Schrepf led the Dolphins at the plate with a triple.

Crestview blanks Pine Forest

The Crestview Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back in taking a 5-0 win over Pine Forest on Tuesday.

Colter Hancock went the distance and tossed a two-hit shutout to lift Crestview. He struck out six batters.

Connor Henderson suffered the loss after giving up five runs on seven hits in seven innings.

Riley White and Marlin Peacock each picked up a hit for Pine Forest.

Milton rolls past Rutherford

The Milton Panthers exploded for seven runs in the first two innings to set the tone in an 11-2 win over the Rutherford Rams on Tuesday.

McKenzie Calhoun went 2-for-3 with four RBIs to lead the Panthers to the win.

Chance Shell tossed six innings to get the win on the mound. He gave up two runs on seven hits while striking out six and walking one.

Tigers make most of road trip

Jack van Deusen fanned 14 batters in a 14-3 win for Pensacola High over LeFlore (Ala.).

Evan Paulk smacked three singles, driving in four runs and scoring twice himself.

Damyis Olds finished 2-for-3, which included one double and one RBI.
