Rochester City Athletic Conference high school basketball standings

East High and Early College remain the division leaders in the Rochester City Athletic Conference.

Here are two head-turners inside the conference once known as the City-Catholic League and the team standings.

  • Leadership Academy, the reigning Section V Class B1 champion, won at Class AA McQuaid 96-85 on Jan. 15, despite a huge statistical double-double by Isaiah Stewart. A 6 foot-7 inch freshman, Stewart finished with 42 points and 23 rebounds, but the Leadership Academy Lions had five players score in double-digits, including senior guard Tyriek Snow (30 points).
  • This should be a challenging week for Edison (11-3). The Inventors play Aquinas (10-1), the reigning Section V Class AA champion that has a win at Fairport on its resume this season, at home 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20. Edison then hosts rival East (11-1), 6:15 pm. on Jan. 22.
