The Fossil Ridge High School girls track and field team finished second at the Palmer Terror Invitational in Colorado Springs on Saturday.
The SaberCats finished with 78.5 points. Classical Academy was first with 87.
The Fossil Ridge boys finished eighth.
On the girls side, Chloe Woest took second in both the 100-meter hurdles and the pole vault. Tanner Robinson was third in the 200 dash, Billie Fogarty was fourth in the 3,200 run and Tiana Noble was fourth in the 400. The SaberCats also won the 800 and 3,200 relays.
On the boys side, Jared Brannen was second in the 110 hurdles and fifth in the 300 hurdles. Keaton Schelir was third in the 3,200 run, and the SaberCats won the 3,200 relay.
ALTITUDE INVITATIONAL — Fort Collins won both the boys and girls team titles.Full results were not reported.
FORT COLLINS 10, GRAND JUNCTION CENTRAL 0 — The Lambkins (4-1) scored six first-inning runs to take control. Richard Edwards threw 4.2 innings before allowing a hit, and he struck out seven batters. He also added three RBI. Colby Carlson had a double and two RBI.
The Lambkins allowed four hits and zero runs in two games in Grand Junction over the weekend.
LIBERTY COMMON RECORDS SWEEP — With an offensive explosion, Liberty Common (3-0) recorded two wins at home over Denver Christian. In a 12-2 victory in the first game the Eagles had 13 stolen bases. Will Denton pitched all five innings of the game shortened via 10-run mercy rule. He struck out five.
In the second game, Liberty Common won 21-11 and had a 13-run fourth inning. Denton had three hits, including a home run, and four RBI. Xander Magruder and Jaden Wolfe had four RBIs each.
RESURRECTION CHRISTIAN SWEPT — The Cougars suffered a pair of one-run losses at home to No. 4 Paonia. RCS, ranked No. 1 in 2A, lost the first game 11-10. The Cougars trailed 11-5 entering the bottom of the seventh and scored five runs but couldn’t tie.
In the second game, RCS lost 3-2 despite a pair of RBI from Brin Hayden.
WINDSOR 14, AIR ACADEMY 4 — The Wizards (4-1) rolled to a road win over Air Academy, the No. 6 team in 4A. Windsor is ranked No. 2. No individual stats were reported.
LIBERTY COMMON 7, RESURRECTION CHRISTIAN 1 — The Eagles moved to 5-0 with the win as Olivia Bachelet scored four goals, the second time she has accomplished the feat this season. Eve Norman had a goal and two assists in the win. Hannah Hart scored Resurrection Christian’s goal.
Liberty Common is ranked No. 6 in 3A. No individual stats were reported.
POUDRE 6, MOUNTAIN RANGE 1 — The Impalas won all four doubles matches and two of three singles contests. Jillian Jesser and Olivia Thero (No. 1 doubles), Emily Kenney and Mimi Mijiddorj (No. 2), Abbott Hoeven and Rebecca Kirby (No. 3) and Asmita Jha and Emma Kirby (No. 4) all won in straight sets in doubles for Poudre. Alessia Fabiano (No. 2) and Koy Ecton (No. 3) won in straight sets in singles play.
