The Liberty Common High School boys soccer team won their seventh consecutive match with a win over Valley on Thursday afternoon.

The Eagles have also yet to surrender a goal in the month of October. Evan Walter got the Eagles (9-3-1, 5-1 Patriot) on the board in the 14th minute after stealing a Valley pass and taking it the distance for a goal to give Liberty Common the 1-0 advantage.

Caleb Baptista added an insurance goal in the 26th minute as the Eagles played strong defense once again.

Liberty Common will play at Estes Park on Tuesday before a critical match against Sterling next Thursday that may decide the Patriot League title.

FOSSIL RIDGE 2, LEGACY 1 (OT) — The SaberCats (5-8, 5-6 FRL) picked up a narrow win in overtime over Legacy.

FORT COLLINS 2, HORIZON 1 — After a scoreless first half, Fort Collins (8-3-2, 7-3 FRL) scored two goals in the second half to move past Horizon on the road. Matthew Khouri and Eric Thompson both scored for the Lambkins.

BROOMFIELD 3, ROCKY MOUNTAIN 0 — The Lobos (1-12, 1-9 FRL) were shutout at home by Broomfield.

POUDRE 2, MONARCH 1 — Omar Altamirano and Ellis Markey both scored as Poudre (5-8-1, 4-7 FRL) slipped past Monarch.

VOLLEYBALL 

FOSSIL RIDGE 3, BOULDER 0 — Fossil Ridge (14-2, 9-1 FRL) rebounded from their first conference loss earlier in the week with a sweep (25-14, 25-16, 25-15) over Boulder. Riley Zuhn led the attack with 11 kills and Catie Semadeni added 10. Brynn Montgomery had a nice night serving, finishing with six aces.

FORT COLLINS 3, POUDRE 0 — The Lambkins (9-5, 6-3 FRL) cruised to a sweep (25-8, 25-16, 25-15) over crosstown rival Poudre (2-15, 2-7 FRL). Fort Collins was very balanced in the attack and received contributions from up-and-down the roster. Sofia Boyer led with seven kills and three blocks.

WINDSOR 3, SKYLINE 0 — Windsor rolled Skyline and earned a quick sweep (25-6, 25-13, 25-17). The Wizards (8-8, 6-5 Tri-Valley) were led offensively by Karlie Sorenson who notched 13 kills while Ally Kennis added seven. Ellie Garrett dished out 12 assists and had six aces.

HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 3, LONGMONT CHRISTIAN 0 — The Eagles (12-4, 6-2 Mile High) swept Longmont Christian on the road (25-10, 25-17, 25-5) and put together a dominant third set, only allowing five points.

PEAK TO PEAK 3, LIBERTY COMMON 1 — Liberty Common won the first set but fell in the final three to Peak to Peak (23-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-18).

RESURRECTION CHRISTIAN 3, LYONS 1 — The Cougars (12-4, 4-4 Patriot) won over Lyons in four sets (25-22, 25-17, 17-25, 25-13).
