New Albany got back to its winning ways Thursday night, thumping Brownstown 57-38 at home behind a strong second half and a game-high 14 points from junior Julyen Condra.
Condra netted 10 of her 14 points in the first half and led a balanced offensive attack for the Bulldogs (2-1). Senior Marissa Jones and junior Kelsy Taylor added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for New Albany, while junior Savanna Pinkston and sophomore Alayasia Douglas each tallied eight points.
The Bulldogs, who dropped a 10-point decision to No. 1-ranked Columbus North on Tuesday, were again without Northern Kentucky University signee Chyna Anthony, a 6-foot-1 forward who injured her left leg during New Albany’s soccer postseason.
