Guard/forward is one of state's top recruits in Class of 2018

Sacred Heart junior Grace Berger has committed to Indiana University.
Sacred Heart Academy’s Grace Berger, one of Kentucky’s top recruits in the Class of 2018, announced Monday she has committed to the Indiana University women’s basketball program.
A 5-foot-11 guard/forward, Berger averaged 14.4 points and 7.2 rebounds as a sophomore last season and was a second-team selection to The Courier-Journal’s All-State team. She shot 46.7 percent from the field, 37.5 percent from 3-point range and 73.1 percent from the free-throw line.
According to the Collegiate Girls Basketball Report, Berger is a four-star recruit and ranked No. 46 in the nation in her class.
Berger is the second highly touted recruit from Louisville to commit to IU in recent weeks. Butler senior Jaelynn Penn, a top contender for Kentucky’s Miss Basketball honor this season, signed with the Hoosiers last week.
