Fans voted Scottsburg basketball player Taylor Means the winner of The Courier-Journal Southern Indiana Athlete of the Week presented by Norton Sports Health after she scored 39 points and hit a school-record 10 3-pointers during a win over Clarksville.

Last week’s other nominees included New Albany’s Romeo Langford, Providence’s Claire Rauck and Lanesville’s Joe Ferree.

Langford scored 24 points and had 13 rebounds during a win over Jeffersonville.

Rauck scored her 1,000th career point during win over Clarksville.

Ferree scored his 1,000th career point and became school’s career 3-pointer leader.

Each week, four athletes will be posted here as nominees for the Athlete of the Week Award. Voting will run through 8 p.m. Sunday. Winners will be invited to the Kentuckiana Sports Awards banquet presented by Norton Sports Health.
