Male’s last victory over Trinity (55-54) came on March 2, 2010, in a Seventh Region quarterfinal. … Eastern and Manual are meeting in the quarterfinals for the third straight year. The Eagles beat the Crimsons twice this season – 53-47 on Jan. 5 and 56-54 on Jan. 12. … Waggener’s 91-89 victory over St. Xavier in last year’s regional quarterfinals gave the Wildcats their first regional-tournament victory since 1964.
