Shawn Robinson, the top-ranked quarterback in the state of Texas and the No. 3 dual-threat QB, could be headed to DeSoto for his senior season. He is a TCU commit for the Class of 2017.

Robinson’s mother, Andrea Robinson, has received a recommendation to become DeSoto’s new girls basketball coach.

Robinson ended up at Denton Guyer two years ago after his mother was hired to coach girls basketball.

Robinson played as a freshman at Saginaw Chisholm Trail but transferred to Guyer for his sophomore and junior seasons after his father Othell Robinson also moved to the Guyer football staff from Chisholm Trail.
