The Silver Creek High School baseball team kept pace in the rankings after a 2-0 week secured them second place in Class 3-A.
The Dragons knocked off Borden, 12-11 on April 19 and routed South Central (Elizabeth), 14-0, last Wednesday to remain in second behind No. 1 Jasper in this week’s Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association poll. In Class 4-A, Jeffersonville dropped from fifth place to sixth place, and New Albany fell from seventh place to ninth place. The Red Devils knocked off New Albany last Wednesday, 8-2, but were defeated by Bedford New-Lawrence, 5-0, last Saturday. In addition to their defeat to Jeffersonville, the Bulldogs won a double-header against Reitz High School in Evansville, winning the first game 4-0 and the second game 4-3.
Henryville dropped out of the top 10 in the Class 2-A rankings but did receive votes.
