Softball: North Rockland nabs top 'AA' state ranking

North Rockland has taken over as the new No. 1 team in the Class AA state softball rankings, the New York Sportswriters Association announced Monday evening.

The Red Raiders (10-0) are the only remaining undefeated team left in Section 1, where they have been at the top of local rankings since the preseason. North Rockland is one of 11 teams in the section to garner recognition in the NYSSWA’s second weekly installment of state rankings.
