Softball: Reed remains unbeaten in league play

Reed downed Galena, 3-1 in Northern Division I softball Thursday at Galena as Reed junior Julia Jensen had 11 strikeouts.

McKenzie Howren homered and drove in two runs as the Raiders improved to 16-0.

Both teams had four hits. Devon Casazza hit a home run and Baileigh Loux was 2-for-3 for the Grizzlies (10-6).

Reno beat Spanish Springs, 3-1, to improve to 11-5 and is in third place. The Cougars are still in second place behind Reed at 13-3.

Douglas beat Wooster, 9-2, as Allison Meyer was 2-for-4 and drove in two runs. Casey Peck also drove in two runs as the Tigers improved to 8-8. Wooster fell to 2-14.

Bishop Manogue beat Hug, 12-0, to improve to 8-8.
