Karly Giancola went 3 for 5 to lead the New Paltz High School softball team over host Franklin D. Roosevelt 7-4 on Thursday in Hyde Park.

Jacorra Webb was 2 for 3 for the Huguenots, who host Marlboro Friday.

Roosevelt’s Alyssa Pfitscher struck out six batters.

John Jay 7, Yorktown 0 — Megan Schumacher pitched a two-hitter with four strikeouts to lead visiting John Jay.

Sam Fitzgerald, Casey Danko and Bridget Rooney each swatted solo home runs. Danko finished with four hits. Olivia Rooney added two hits.

The Patriots (16-1) visit Roy C. Ketcham Friday.

Red Hook 16, Spackenkill 8 — Nicole Marici singled three times and knocked in two runs for the visiting Raiders.

Lexie Close singled three times for the Spartans and drove in two runs, while teammate Liana Lopez singled twice, doubled and knocked in two runs.

Red Hook visits Ellenville Wednesday while Spackenkill will play Ellenville at Marlboro at noon on Saturday, with a trip to the Mid-Hudson Athletic League semifinals on the line.

Poughkeepsie 8, Highland 6 — Jenna Salmonese homered, doubled and knocked in three runs for the visiting Pioneers.

She also pitched and struck out four batters.

Mia Beck picked up two singles for the Huskies.

Dover 22, Onteora 7 — Emily Lundgren was 4 for 5 with a triple and six RBI to lead host Dover.

She also struck out three in a complete game to earn the win. Honesti Crochran went 4 for 6 with six RBI

The Dragons visit Webutuck at 4:15 p.m. Monday.

Arlington 19, Mahopac 4 — Tracey Rancourt went 3 for 5 with four RBI and a run to lead host Arlington.

Cori Piazza was 3 for 5 with three runs and an RBI, and Cecilia McPeck had two RBI and two runs for the Admirals (8-8). Angelina Marsela allowed three hits and struck out three in a six-inning complete game to earn the win.

Arlington visits Somers at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Lakeland 18, Beacon 1 — Sydney Dexter went 1 for 2 with a run scored and a steal for the host Bulldogs.

Teammate DaVonia Lamar was 1 for 2 with an RBI.

Beacon (3-14) visits Peekskill Saturday.

Faith Christian Academy 21, Poughkeepsie Day School 8 — Sydney Beck pitched four innings, let up three runs and struck out three for the winners.

Kylee Robin hit a home run and drove in four runs.

Justina Robinson, Emily Santiago, Mikayla Meacham, Beth Mash and Alex Beck each finished 2 for 4 with two RBI.
