Megan Schumacher struck out 10 batters in a complete game, leading the John Jay High School softball team to a 6-2 win over visiting Suffern in the completion of a Melissa Bisaccia Memorial Tournament game on Monday.

The game had been suspended in the third inning on May 7. The Patriots were leading 2-1 when rain brought the game to a halt.

Suffern tied the game, but John Jay scored four runs in the fifth. Sam Fitzgerald doubled, tripled and scored twice. Britney Guzman finished 1 for 2 with an RBI.

The Patriots finished the regular season 18-1.

“I think we’re playing our best softball,” said Patriots coach Mike Crocco, who added that the Section 1 playoff seeds will be known Wednesday.

Pawling 9, Putnam Valley 6 — Olivia Zoeller pitched a complete game and fanned 12 batters to lift host Pawling. At the plate Zoeller notched a double with three runs scored.

Katie Meyer was 2 for 4 with an RBI, while Lily Prinz was 3 for 3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Samantha Smith had an RBI and Sarah Campbell was 2 for 2 with two runs scored for Pawling (15-3).

Our Lady of Lourdes 5, Walter Panas 4 — Laura Pedevillano notched a triple, two RBI and scored the winning run at the bottom of the seventh to lead the host Warriors.

Alyssa Profanto was 2 for 3 with a run scored and went the distance on the mound letting up 11 hits. Anna Anderson was 2 for 3.

Lourdes closed out its regular season 10-7.

Suffern 4, Roy C. Ketcham 1Courtney Friday went 1 for 2 with a double and a run scored in the host Indians’ Melissa Bisaccia Tournament.

The Indians finished the regular season 14-6.
