On the first day of the Texas 7v7 state tournament there were 64 teams playing and some amazing talent being showcased. TexasHSFootball.com caught up with two of most talented players on the field from Stafford (Tx.) High, Hezekiah Jones and Jalen Pitre.
Both Jones, a four-star wide receiver, and Pitre, a three-star safety, were committed to Baylor until Art Briles was removed as head coach. Jones decommitted in May and is now picking between Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Houston, and Notre Dame.

“Everything factors in (to my decision),” Jones said. “The school, education, the coaching staff, and stability. If they win games that is great, but I am there to ball regardless.”
Pitre has been committed to the Bears since last summer, and he doesn’t plan on backing out.
“Love the education. I felt like home when I went there that is why I committed so early,” he said. “They were just so welcoming and it was just a lot of fun every time I went.”
