Strong second half lifts Lee Ladies past Streaks

HARRISONBURG – Robert E. Lee broke a 27-27 halftime tie with Harrisonburg on Friday night, outscoring the Blue Streaks 19-6 in the third quarter en route to a 63-47 victory in a Valley District girls basketball game.

The Streaks led 17-15 after the first quarter before the Lee Ladies caught the Blue Streaks by halftime.

For Lee, Jesse Bartley led the way with 19 points, with eight of those coming in Lee’s 19-point third period. Lexi Hall had 14 points, Kemper Snyder 13 and Peyton Hicks 11.

Lee (6-4) hosts Fort Defiance on Tuesday.
