While a few had close calls, all of the teams in the Super 25 high school football rankings won last week. That’s becoming a trend as the last time a Super 25 team lost to an unranked team was back in September, when then No. 21 Miami Central (Miami, Fla.) lost to Carol City.

This coming week, 11 Super 25 teams have playoff games, so it will be tougher for everyone to go unbeaten again.

That doesn’t mean there wasn’t any movement this past week. Allen, Texas, dropped from No. 4 to No. 7. The Eagles needed some big-time help from quarterback Mitchell Jonke, who threw two touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown, in a 38-31 win at Plano East (Plano) on Friday.

Allen’s narrow win propelled another Texas team, DeSoto, up two spots to No. 5 as running back Kelan Walker had six first-half touchdowns in a 68-0 defeat of Nimitz (Irving) on Friday.

McGill-Toolen (Mobile, Ala.) also moved up a notch to No. 4 as it defeated Fairhope 42-13 on Friday behind three first-half touchdown passes by Bubba Thompson.
