Professional trainer Mark Adams will hold a one-day clinic for youth basketball players on April 9 at Carolina Day.
There are two sessions available. The first is open to boys and girls in the fifth through seventh grade and will last from 9 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a session for eighth to 10th grade players from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The visit by Adams is being hosted by the Team Carolina AAU program and there is no charge for its players. The cost is $75 per session for other players. For more information concerning Team Carolina, log onto www.hoopscityu.com/asheville.
Adams was a graduate assistant for three years at Syracuse and has more than two decades of experience in coaching, including stints at North Carolina and Florida high schools.
He currently specializes in NBA and NBA pre-draft workouts (one of Adams’ clients is Christ School alum and Portland Trailblazers center/forward Mason Plumlee). Outside of his work with pro players, Adams conducts camps and clinics across the country.
