Jayden Peevy’s journey is keeping him in Texas.

A defensive tackle at Bellaire High, he has committed to Texas A&M and will finish high school career in San Antonio at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 7.

Peevy received his honorary jersey for the Army Bowl on Wednesday when the Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance came to his school.

In eight games, Peevy has 57 tackles, nine sacks and 12 quarterback hurries. Two of those sacks came in last Friday’s 48-14  victory against Westbury (Houston), which clinched a playoff spot for Bellaire (5-3).

A three-star recruit, Peevy is ranked as the No. 23 defensive tackle prospect by 247Sports.
