Welcoming the arrival of not only spring, students also welcome the fourth and final nine weeks of the 2015-2016 school year at CVHS. Efforts begin to lack, the longing for summer begins, and everyone is rushing to just reach the end of the year and jump right in to summer. Although, this may differ with the current seniors of the school as they grow nostalgic for their high school years that seem to have sped right past them and are trying to grasp onto the last few moments of high school before going off to college and beginning their adulthood. Or the beginning of their adulthood, I should say. As for the rest of the entirety of the school, everyone else seems to be in a huge rush to fill those seniors’ spots and be the ones graduating. Not all students feel this way of course, junior Quinn Boyle had said: “I immensely enjoy my time in high school and I’m a little afraid of growing up and going to college.” As far as fear is concerned, this seems to be the only element holding students back from the itch to graduate and perhaps make them cherish their time at CVHS a little bit more.
Now as for the school work, I’m certain every student who attends this school can agree they have just about had enough of the boatloads of stress they have been dealing with when it comes to keeping their grades up. It’s very understandable as to why everyone can be in a rush to graduate, but perhaps it’s a good thing to take a slight step back and savor the moments in high school that will cease to be another memory some day.
