When Dickinson High School in North Dakota selected the Midgets as the school’s mascot, no one thought the school would someday host the largest athlete in the state. That he’s 7-feet-tall is the icing on the very ironic cake.

As reported by North Dakota ABC affiliate WDAY, Dickinson junior center Jordan Meidinger is a 7-footer who plays for the Midgets. The North Dakota State commit averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds per game during Dickinson’s run to the state tournament, the school’s first in seven years.

All of this is to underscore that Meidinger is a serious contributor, just as he’ll be expected to be in Fargo. First, he has another year ahead suiting up for the Midgets in the most ironic arrangement in prep hoops history.
