File this under “Fans who take games far more seriously than players themselves.”
The video above showcases the final play of the 9-and-under (9U) youth baseball championships. As the final play, it necessarily meant one team was emerging with the ultimate victory and a state title. In this case, it also meant one fan would completely lose his mind and start running across the bleachers while flapping his arms like a manic bird.
We have absolutely no idea who the aforementioned fan is. We don’t even know which team happened to win this competition. What we do know is that the “Birdman,” as he was christened by Bob’s Blitz, immediately moves into the pantheon of crazy youth sports parents and fans.
As always, it’s important to remember: Don’t be that crazed youth sports fan. More specifically in Nebraska, don’t be the new Birdman.
