Gary Trent Jr., the No. 8 player in the Class of 2017 according to ESPN, has announced official visits to UCLA, Arizona, Duke and Michigan State in that order.
Trent cut his list in early August to those four schools and Kentucky.
In his most recent blog for USA TODAY High School Sports last week, Trent said he had four of the visits locked in but wanted to wait to release all the dates at one time. His first stop is UCLA next weekend.
MOTIVATION MONDAY: What fuels Trent’s grind?
“I’m definitely looking forward to those visits!” he wrote. “I want to see the campus life, talk to the coaches about what they can do for my life, hangout with the team and things like that. I just want to see everything firsthand basically.”
Trent, who played last season at Apple Valley (Minn.) was briefly at Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) and then moved to Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.) following a coaching change at Findlay.
