Rossview surges in second half to earn playoff berth
Rossview High scored 24 points in the second half to beat Northeast 24-14 Friday and earn its second playoff berth in three years.

MBA (8-2, 5-1 DII-AA East/Middle) scored 13 points off three Ensworth turnovers, and Ty Allen tossed two TD passes. But Ensworth (7-3, 4-2) still handed MBA its first loss since the season opener. 


Cane Ridge 54, Gallatin 28

Cane Ridge (10-0, 7-0 6-5A) forced eight turnovers for the first perfect regular season in school history. Jordan Bell and Emari Barton combined for 254 rushing yards and five touchdowns, with Bell scoring three of those.

Jordan Mason, the Midstate’s leading rusher, left the game in the third quarter with a lower-body injury for Gallatin (6-4, 4-3).

Oakland 49, Smyrna 7

Lazarius Patterson rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown for Oakland (10-0, 7-0 2-6A). Smyrna (6-4,  4-3) lost quarterback John Turner, an MTSU commitment, late in the first half with a shoulder injury. Oakland’s JaCoby Stevens, an LSU commitment, caught a 41-yard touchdown from Brendan Matthews for the Patriots.

Centennial 34, Henry Co. 7

Zyon Lee rushed for 220 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead Centennial (9-1, 7-0) to the Region 7-5A title. Tre Stewart passed for 150 yards and two TDs. Savon Stewart had 123 yards rushing for Henry County (6-3, 5-2).

Brentwood Academy 42, McCallie 32

Jeremiah Oatsvall passed for 361 yards to pace Brentwood Academy (7-2, 5-1 in DII-AA East/Middle). Robert Riddle passed for 407 yards for McCallie (6-4, 3-3).

Fairview 46, Harpeth 11

Fairview (10-0, 6-0) clinched the Region 6-3A title and finished undefeated for the first time since 1979. Hunter Caldwell had 184 rushing yards and two touchdowns and Jake Beathard had 179 yards and two touchdowns. Walker Weatherly threw for 219 yards for Harpeth (8-2, 4-2).

Nashville Christian 43, Trousdale Co. 20

Lelan Wilhoite ran for 149 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead Nashville Christian (8-2, 8-0) to the Region 5-1A title in the win over Trousdale County (8-2, 6-2). Xavier Myers added 106 yards rushing.

Marshall County 51, Page 0

Marshall County (9-1, 5-0) won the Region 4-4A title over Page (6-3, 4-1). Bryce Wallace passed for 202 yards with three passing TDs to Tre Crutcher and one rushing touchdown.

Rossview 24, Northeast 14

Rossview (5-5, 5-2 7-5A) scored 24 unanswered points in the second half to knock off Northeast (5-5, 3-4). Fred Orr ran for 162 yards and two touchdowns as the Hawks earned a playoff berth.
