Tuscola senior Cora Dodson has signed to swim in college for Lenoir-Rhyne.
The Mountaineers held a signing ceremony for her Thursday in the high school’s media center.
Dodson was an All-Western North Carolina Athletic Conference selection in the 500-yard freestyle and logged a season-best time of 5 minutes, 43.40 seconds. Her best swim in the 100-yard backstroke was 1:04.79. Dodson placed 10th in the 100 backstroke at the 3-A Western Regional meet and was 15th in the 500 freestyle.
She came in 11th overall in December’s Ironman meet.
