WHITE PIGEON – Down 7-0 at halftime, Union City stepped on the gas in the second half to earn a 22-15 victory over White Pigeon on Friday.

The Chargers rattled off 22 straight points in the non-conference win.

Austin Mosher led the Union City offense with 17 carries for 109 yards and a touchdown. Elijah Harris caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Josh Watson and Jordan Ridenour had a 3-yard touchdown run to cap off a 14-play drive.

Defensively for the Chargers, Chad Bruce had nine tackles, Deacon Dey had eight tackles and Jacob Wyatt had four tackles and an interception.

Union City (1-0) returns to action Sept. 1 when they host Athens in the ‘Little Brown Jug’ rivalry game that dates back to 1947.
