St. Vincent and Cathedral Prep are two of the dominant programs in Erie, Penn. In recent years, Cathedral Prep has completely owned St. Vincent … at least until Tuesday night. That’s when St. Vincent took control in a 70-57 blowout, thanks to David Morris.
Who? Don’t worry, after watching the clip above, you’ll know all you need to know.
Whoa! That David Morris! Now we know. That’s Morris taking a ball control offense and then blowing up an entire defense, cutting through the lane, blowing by the Cathedral zone and slamming home a tomahawk jam. Wowsers. That’s how you make an impression.
Evidently, that’s precisely what Morris had in mind, as he told the Erie Times-News:
“It was like everything coming together. All of the feelings and anger I’ve had over never beating Prep,” said Morris about the dunk. “I needed to get revenge. All I thought about in the dunk was taking my anger out. I had to take my anger out on the rim.”
