The best part of high school football is that you never know when you’re going to trip across the next prep Jerry Rice or Odell Beckham. Or even someone better.
That may be the case with Michael Blevins, the wide receiver from River Valley in Ohio. In Friday’s game against Madison Comprehensive, Blevins was forced to get up — way up — to pull down a remarkable, Odell Beckham-esque one-handed grab to keep a River Valley drive moving forward.
Unfortunately for Blevins and River Valley, the Vikings couldn’t keep pace with a powerful Madison squad that kept up a frenetic offensive pace, eventually wrapping up as a 49-21 victory for Madison.
At least River Valley and Blevins had a remarkable highlight play to look back on once the season wraps up.
