We don’t know a lot about David B. Emuze, but we do know this: He is some athlete.

An eighth grader at Illinois’ Springfield Ball Charter School, Emuze competes for the school’s varsity track team, where he has emerged as a long jumping star. Most of all, he’s a remarkable athlete.

Case in point: This miraculous finish of a jump at a recent meet, as captured by MaxPreps.

That’s Emuze finishing a long jump with a full-fledged front flip, on which he sticks a perfect landing. It’s no major surprise to learn that Emuze is also a budding basketball player for Ball Charter, particularly after seeing that feat.

Jumpers are often among the most athletic of performers at any school, so Emuze’s choice of field event was always likely to mark him out for future athletic greatness. Still, accomplishing such a highlight reel leap while still in the eighth grade is another matter entirely.
