It had been all of two days since the nation’s top-ranked Class of 2017 wide receiver wowed us with his athleticism, so Detroit Cass Tech junior Donovan Peoples-Jones needed a challenge.

On Tuesday, Redford, Mich.-based Performance 80 Fitness Studio trainer Chris Huff posted video of a Peoples-Jones workout in which he cleared a 44-inch vertical leap, a 55-inch box jump and a nearly 12-foot broad jump. No wonder everyone from Michigan to Ohio State, Alabama and Florida are after him. As Huff wrote, “He just works out here. This is a God gift.”

Two days later, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound specimen showed off that God gift during Cass Tech’s annual dunk contest, which my as well be renamed the Donovan Peoples-Jones Invitational.

That’s right, Peoples-Jones cleared three people on his way to a thunderous dunk, winning the contest — again. Last year, he only leapt over two human beings in a single bound.

A reminder that Peoples-Jones is just a junior and must now clear four people next year.
