New Albany may have lost to La Lumiere in a high-profile matchup between two of Indiana’s top teams, but Romeo Langford had a night to remember.
The junior guard, who is being recruited by Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana among many others, scored 40 points in the game televised on ESPN2, and threw down a thunderous dunk with a hand in his face.
In the fourth quarter, Langford led a fast break down the right side of the court. Langford cut inside and rose to send in a one-handed slam, even with Michigan State commit Jaren Jackson arriving to try and block the ball. Jackson only succeeded in fouling Langford, and the star guard scored two of his most impressive points of the night. Despite the dunk, La Lumiere held on to defeat New Albany, 85-63.
