Temple (Texas) wide receiver Xavier Johnson caught a crossing route and was running for more yardage when he was knocked out of bounds by a College Station player.

Unfortunately, he was knocked into KCEN’s Jessica Morrey, who was shooting the game from the sideline. The camera goes flying when Morrey hits the turf.

You can see the play here:

Morrey tweeted that she was recovering and a colleague joked that he would be handling the anchor duties following Morrey’s “near-death.”

While the video shows Johnson walking away and moving to the next play, he came over after the drive to check on Morrey and the two exchanged messages on Twitter as the video of the hit spread.

Some of Morrey’s colleagues in the media also weighed in:

College Station won the game 17-16 with a missed extra point being the difference and won the outright District 18-5A championship.
