Rayshawn James has emerged as a bona fide superstar for Spring Westfield High. He has speed, athleticism and a spin move that is almost impossible to stop.
Case-in-point: Just check out this spin.
That’s James making an absolute fool of the Stony Point defense in a Texas Class 6A Division II Region II quarterfinal blowout that finished 24-0, Westfield. And if you think this one highlight is the lone show-stopping move James has authored this season, his average statistics have all been worth a longer look, too. According to MaxPreps, James is averaging nearly 10 yards per carry, to go with eight touchdowns on the season.
If Westfield is to continue rolling through the playoffs, it’ll need more games like this from James. And he’ll need a few more epic spins in his bag of tricks to top the likes of West Brook, which Westfield faces off against in the regional semifinals.
