Leave it to YouTube to spark an unofficial social video war between two different schools of the same name.
As noted by the Dallas Morning-News, Ursuline Academy in St. Louis initially laid down a sick burn track against the Ursuline Academy in Dallas in honor of the two teams’ matchup in the NHL Western Conference Playoffs. Here’s that initial video, which makes light of such Lone Star State points of pride as “Don’t Mess With Texas” and the very concept of a hockey team in Texas.
Needless to say, Ursuline Academy in Dallas didn’t take too kindly to the implications of the Missouri video, which led to this riposte:
Yes, those are the Stars mascots supporting a private school in Dallas, which probably qualifies as a victory in itself for Ursuline Dallas. That’s before you factor in civic takedowns for the departure of the St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Hawks (no, they haven’t always been the Atlanta Hawks).
With a 3-2 Stars Game 6 victory on Monday, the series is shifting back to Dallas for a decisive Game 7. All we can be certain about at this point is that the true winner of the series will be Ursuline Academy … we’re just not sure which one.
