VIDEO: Top Calif. volleyball recruit makes remarkable basketball shot at pep rally

By

Considered one of the nation’s top liberos in the Class of 2016, Bishop Alemany (Mission Hills, Calif.) senior standout Trevor Briggs showed he’s more than just a defensive specialist on the volleyball court, flashing a bit of offensive basketball brilliance on the gym floor.

During his high school’s annual spring pep rally, Briggs made a remarkable shot. Seriously, take a look at it again. It appears to come from some 70 feet, between two rows of chairs, and he’s firing it standing still from his hip. I feel like he should win a car for that attempt.

P.S. My favorite part of this video is that, if you look in the background, so many kids are on their phones or looking elsewhere, and they just missed a pep rally moment for the ages.
