Cade Weldon is currently considered only a three-star quarterback in the Class of 2017. Now we know that accuracy isn’t what’s holding him back.
As filmed by Bleacher Report Studios, Weldon took aim at a 40-yard elevated trick shot. It would have been impressive for Weldon to hit a target from that distance, but the passer took matters a step farther by tying on a blindfold before he took aim, then celebrating the made shot bef0re it officially connected.
Only time will tell of Weldon’s latest trick shot helps him get more interest from more top programs. For now, he’s happy celebrating one cool shot while preparing for his senior season at Jefferson High in Tampa. Meanwhile, the passer will keep holding out hope of an offer from Florida State and/or Georgia to round out a solid group of college options that currently includes Miami, Kentucky, South Carolina and Wake Forest, among others.
Perhaps more trick shots will get the job done? He seems to have them down pat.
