For the sake of the two Strayhorn (Sarah, Miss.) defenders trying to stop Coahoma Agricultural (Clarksdale, Miss.) junior forward Cardarious “Malik” Gilliam, it’s probably best this video is a little grainy, so to avoid further embarrassment.

The graininess also gives the video a great vibe, since it looks like the highlight comes from another basketball era, except Gilliam throws down a dunk so revolutionary it seems to come from the future. Even though one defender appears to get his feet set, Gilliam still got the blocking foul for an and-one, because no ref can whistle off a dunk that vicious.

To top it all off, Coahoma Agricultural coach Edward Thomas posted video of the dunk on Facebook and dubbed his 6-foot-1 unranked Class of 2017 athletic dynamo the “Phenomenal Assassin,” which is just about the greatest nickname ever.
