Fran Espinosa, Edgewood soccer
Espinosa had 5 goals and 2 assists in two Edgewood victories last week. She had two goals and an assist in a 4-0 win over Melbourne Central Catholic. Later in the week she had 3 goals and an assist in a 5-2 win over Astronaut.
Tim DeMorat, Viera football
DeMorat had a huge night in a 53-45 Class 7A Regional Semifinal win against Martin County. DeMorat threw for 527 yards and 5 touchdowns. He had TD tosses of 14, 44, 39, 80 and 64 yards.
Bruce Judson, Cocoa High football
Judson accounted for four touchdowns in Cocoa’s 36-30 Class 4A Regional Final game against Jones High School. He had scoring runs of 1, 4 and 75 yards, and also threw a 74-yard TD pass to Javian Hawkins.
Sammie Streeter, Eau Gallie girls basketball
Streeter scored 40 points on Wednesday in a 60-36 win over Jensen Beach. She followed with a 16-point game in a 58-31 win over Bayside on Thursday. On Monday, she had scored 12 in a 64-47 win over Astronaut.
Uvaldo Rodriguez, Bayside soccer
Rodriguez scored four goals during the week. He scored all three goals in a 3-0 win over Rockledge on Friday. He also scored a goal Tuesday in a 3-1 loss to Merritt Island.
