Waldron (Ark.) ends 1,786-day losing streak with 45-0 shutout in opener

Waldron (Ark.) ended a 43-game losing streak that spans 1,786 days, dating back to October 2011, with a 45-0 victory against Mansfield to open the season.

Waldron used a dominant running game in the victory, running 41 times for 381 yards, and outgained Masfield 403-136.

Quarterback Trey Williams attempted although four passes and his lone completion went for a touchdown. But he ran nine times for 128 yards and a TD.

Cole Huddleston scored a pair of rushing touchdowns on 10 carries for 42 yards.
