Girls Basketball

Birmingham Groves 68, Pontiac 32: Sha Carter scored 30 points and had 10 boards for Groves (5-4, 2-0 OAA Gold). Morgan Morrison also chipped in 10 points and 20 rebounds.

Kent City 43, Hopkins 31: Janelle Krueger was the leading scorer for Kent City with 10 points before a leg injury sidelined her in the second half. Meghan Boyd chipped in nine points and both Olivia Harrison and Kaitlyn Geers recorded seven points on the evening for Kent City, who improved to 9-0.

Warren Michigan Collegiate 51, Detroit Westside Christian 17: Lanae Foster scored 13 points, Johnae Ballard finished with 11 points and Tyiece Taylor recorded seven in the victory for Michigan Collegiate (3-5, 1-1 Charter).

Boys Basketball

Imlay City 66, Flint Northwestern 51: Griffin Schirmer scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds while Seth Reiff added 13 points and six assists in the Imlay City victory. Troy Brown recorded 15 points and Antwan Cox had 11 in the loss for Northwestern.

Marlette 56, Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port 41: Andrew Storm scored 15 points and Isaac Dale added 11 in the win for Marlette.

Novi Detroit Catholic Central 77, Ann Arbor Richard 52: C.J. Baird had 18 points in the victory for Catholic Central (4-1, 1-0 in Catholic Central). In the loss for Gabriel Richard, Joe Chavey scored 13 points.

St. Clair Shores Lakeview 60, Port Huron 52: Joe Charrett scored 18 points and Anthony Militello recorded 17 points plus 13 rebounds in the win for Lakeview (2-4, 0-1 MAC Gold). Jermaine Drake finished with 18 points and Tyler Lee also had 18 points in defeat for Port Huron (2-5 overall, 0-2 MAC Blue).

Taylor Prep 56, Detroit Public Safety Academy 51: Nigel Colvin finished with 17 points and Billy Dudley scored 13 points in the win for Taylor Prep (1-5). Cameron Hudson also chipped in 10 points.

Livonia Ladywood 4, Ann Arbor Skyline 0: CeCe Werner opened the scoring for Ladywood with 14:19 remaining in the first period. Werner scored her second goal in the second period with Jill Jacobs and Sydney Malek picking up assists. Sydney Pilut scored the third goal and Katie Hayward added the final goal of the contest.
