* Christian Academy: The Centurions were no match for Class 6-A power Simon Kenton last week, falling 41-14. Sophomore quarterback Austin Carr completed 16 of 35 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown and was intercepted four times. Sophomore Milton Wright was Carr’s top target with six catches for 63 yards and a touchdown.
* Eastern: Senior quarterback J.D. Berger completed 17 of 35 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles to a 36-32 victory at Bullitt East last week. Senior Sugar Ray Wyche had six receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown, and senior Greg Johnson rushed for 84 yards on 16 carries. Eastern has lost three straight years to CAL, falling by an average margin of 29 points.
