Not only is Mannie Netherly not coming to Texas A&M, he may rub salt in the wound by heading to the school’s biggest rival.
On Thursday, Netherly, a four-star wide receiver from Crosby High, spent the day hanging out with Texas head coach Charlie Strong in Austin. The visit to the Longhorns came a week after Netherly decommitted from Texas A&M following barbed Tweets from Texas A&M coach Aaron Moorehead aimed at top QB recruit Tate Martell.
Netherly clearly made the most of his moment in the state capital, throwing up a Hook ‘Em Horns sign with Texas coach Charlie Strong.
It’s far too early to get a confident read on where Netherly may end up playing at the next level, but one thing is certain: The four-star receiver is not wasting any time putting his past commitment to the Aggies behind him.
